You should check the alignment of the latch, lock cylinder, and inside unit knob rotation in the installation process. These need to be in sync to rotate the knob in a correct manner.
The outer unit lock cylinder tailpiece needs to be rotated to extreme left/right (depending upon the door side) till it stops moving before mounting on the door.
After installation is completed, set up your lock using Altro mobile app. In case you are reinstalling the lock, calibrate your lock again from the lock settings option present in the mobile app. Calibration should be performed every time the lock is reinstalled to make sure proper functioning.
